About Hyundai Veracruz
The Hyundai Veracruz is the largest SUV model manufactured and marketed by Hyundai for the American market. It is a mid-size crossover with a front-engine layout. All of its levels and models could be provided in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive types. It was given the name of the ix55 for the European and Russian dealers. The Hyundai Veracruz had a very wide range of markets. It was sold in South Korea, China, Morocco, the Middle East, South America, Canada, and the United States from the very beginning for its debut in 2006. A year later, in 2007, the European and the Asian markets were also taken down by Veracruz. The name for the model inherited the company's tradition of naming vehicle models after the name of locations and tourist sights. The replaced model, the Hyundai Terracan, was also named in this kind of manner.
The Hyundai Veracruz was a very big SUV. It had a wheelbase of 110.4 inches. The vehicle was 190.6 inches in length, 76.6 to 77.6 inches in width, and 68.9 to 71.3 inches in height. The automobile was installed a 3.8L Lambda V6 engine. With a 6-speed automatic transmission, the engine parts were able to reach 260 horsepower. Other engine parts included a 3.0L S V6 diesel or a 3.0L S II V6 diesel.

The Hyundai Veracruz was provided in 3 trim levels: the base GLS, the mid-SE, and the top Limited. The middle level, SE, was cut off the production line in 2009. The vacancy of its leaving was filled with two optional packages for the basic GLS level. Standard Hyundai Veracruz parts included a set of alloy wheels, USB and auxiliary inputs for portable media devices, an MP3/CD player, audio-system-mounted steering wheel and cruise controls, air conditioning with an allergen filter, a third-row seating, and other full power equipment parts. The luxurious Limited level was provided with additional parts including chrome door handles and a backup warning system. Dealers could also choose other Veracruz parts for further personal styling including leather-trimmed and seating surfaces, heated and ventilated seats, a 6-disc in-dash MP3/CD changer, and a power sunroof, smart key access, a touch-screen GPS navigation, and Infinity surround sound.
The Hyundai Veracruz model stopped its production lines for the overseas markets in 2011. The production lines for the South Korean market were shut down in 2015. The company announced the retirement of the Veracruz in 2012 as it was replaced by Santa Fe.
