About Hyundai Entourage
The Hyundai Entourage was a rebadged version of the second generation of the Kia Carnival for North America. The manufacturer was the sister company of Hyundai and the original model's manufacturer, Kia. The assembly lines for the model were also located in Kia's Sohan Plant in South Korea. The Entourage was released at the Chicago Auto Show in 2006. The vehicle went on sale in the same year. It was capable of 7 passengers. The Entourage was given a V6 engine that could produce an output of 242 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission was also offered to pair the engine. The standard Hyundai Entourage parts included a 6-disc in-dash CD player, leather seating, and an automatic climate control system for interior comfort. As for the exterior, it was given power sliding doors and tailgates, and reverse sensors. The wheelbase of the Entourage was 118.9 inches. The Hyundai Entourage was offered in 3 trim levels for its debut. The most basic GLS had the standard Entourage parts such as the 6-way manual adjustable driver seat, the removable second-row captain's chairs, tri-zone air-conditioning, 6-speaker CD stereo, and a 60/40 split-folding third-row foldable floor seat. It featured a set of 16-inch wheels. The SE was in the midline. It featured a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Additional pieces to show its higher level were also installed, including dual power-sliding rear doors, automatic climate control, a heated mirror, and the 8-way power-adjustable driver seat. The Limited was the top level of the three. It was given more Entourage parts for better performance and a more comfortable experience. A liftgate which was powered for opening and closing was installed, along with a 4-way power front-passenger seat, an electroluminescent instrument cluster with the optional sunroof, seating memory system, heated leather seats, and power-adjustable pedals.

The second generation of the Hyundai Entourage was released in 2005. The US market was able to be provided with both wheelbase versions of the vehicle. It was given modified parts including a lighter powertrain, a lighter transmission, a lighter suspension, and greater use of high-tensile steel in the body structure. These lighter parts made the Hyundai Entourage 400 lbs lighter than the first generation. Other standard equipment pieces for the model included six airbags that were installed in the front, front side, and air curtain, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, dual or tri-zone heating and cooling, and rear side sliding doors, and backup sensor.
