About Honda Insight
Insight is a hybrid electric vehicle produced by Honda. Based on the Honda J-VX concept car unveiled at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show, the Honda Insight was introduced in Japan in November 1999. In the following month, the Honda Insight became the first hybrid available in North America. During its first year in the Japanese market, the second generation of it sold 143,015 units around the world. Honda introduced the second generation of it in the United States on March 24, 2009. Insight was launched in April 2009 in the UK as the lowest-priced hybrid on the market. In December 2010, a less expensive base model was introduced. In July 2014, Honda announced the end of its production. In 2018, Honda announced the third generation of its prototype based on the tenth-generation Civic sedan. Unlike the previous one, it was a traditional sedan. Later that year, the third generation of it went on sale. In April 2022, it was announced that Insight would be discontinued after 2022.
The 2022 Insight looks like any other small sedan. And it offers many of the same features at a competitive price. It featured optimized aerodynamics and a lightweight aluminum structure. Until 2015, the first generation of it ranked as the most fuel-efficient Agency-certified gasoline-fueled vehicle. The new Insight uses Honda's third-generation two-motor hybrid powertrain. Its 1.5-liter gasoline engine can create vibrations when the battery needs charging.

The Insight is functional and well-designed. Using the transmission selector buttons is more distracting than moving a traditional gear lever, but the driver can adapt to it quickly. Visibility is good out of the front. The wide rear roof pillars and tall rear deck create some rear blind spots. There's plenty of headroom and elbow room for front passengers. Drivers can find an agreeable seating position. In the back, there's good toe room.
Insight is a powerful hybrid with excellent fuel economy. Beyond that, it's nice to drive and spend time. It combines comfort with a refined interior and easy-to-use tech. Honda has gotten most of the fundamentals right. The seats are comfortable. They are enough contouring to provide support over long drives. The climate system has big and marked physical controls, and the vents provide good coverage. The OEM parts for it, such as starting parts, charging parts, transmission parts, ignition parts, and air intake parts are available online now.
