About Geo Tracker
The Geo Tracker is the predecessor of Chevrolet Tracker produced by GEO from 1990 to 1997. Classified as a mini SUV, the model was first introduced in 1988 for the 1989 model year. As early as 1986, General Motors and Suzuki Motor entered into a joint venture to establish Canadian Automotive Manufacturing Inc. in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada (later renamed as CAMI Automotive). This plant later also helped OEM production, including the Geo Tracker based on the prototype of the first generation Suzuki Escudo. The first batch of this model was produced and assembled in Japan and later imported to North America, and the CAMI factory officially began its production in late 1989. However, the Canadian market was still supplied by Japanese factories.
The Geo Tracker was equipped with a Suzuki's 1.6L SOHC four-cylinder engine producing the power of 80 hp (60 kW). Three trims were released in 1989, including the base convertible, the base two-door hardtop, and the LSi hardtop. All models were four-wheel driven in the first place and a base two-wheel-drive convertible version was introduced in 1992. In 1996 model year, the American market announced a four-door Geo Tracker, powered by Suzuki's G16B 16-valve 1.6L producing 96 hp (72 kW). In 1998 it was eventually combined with Chevrolet, together with the whole company. This is a fairly old type of model, but we still have its parts. What's more, those parts are from the original factory same as the old times. So don't be hesitate to find us if you have any need to replace your parts.

Unlike common SUVs, the Geo Tracker is closer to being regarded as a light track, as the fact goes so. It is installed a sturdy off-road four-wheel driven system with a conventional light truck engine, and the transmission is a 2-4 transfer case. For its appearance, the Geo Tracker had a strong front suspension as well as a rugged recirculating ball steering box. The axles are also used light truck units thus making the vehicle drive more like such. Thanks to the truck-like diving feeling, it is able to benefit from better durability in complex conditions. However, the cargo area is slightly small for such models.
