About Genesis
Genesis Motor is commonly known as Genesis. It is the luxury car division of South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Company. The head office conceived the "Concept Genesis" in 2003. Its first car was launched in 2007. The Genesis was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in 2008. The brand officially announced its independence on November 4, 2015. Its first Genesis stand-alone car was launched in 2017. It was the G90. Its models are designed in Rüsselsheim (Germany), Namyang (Korea), and Irvine (USA), and produced in Ulsan (Korea). Genesis is now sold in Korea, China, the Middle East, Russia, Canada, Australia, the United States, Europe, and Asia.
In 2015, a Hyundai Motor America spokesman cited three main reasons for making it a stand-alone automaker. The reasons are as follows, seven-year success in the luxury market; ranking among the top three sellers; and customer demand. It announced the launch of the first vehicle in South Korea on 9 December. It was the Genesis G90, its flagship type. In late 2016, the brand launched two types in the United States: the G80 and the G90. A third model, the G70, was unveiled in Namyang in the same year. The G70 was introduced to the U.S. market on March 28, 2018. After that, the corporation was reportedly ranked first in JD Power's Initial Quality Study.
Masterpieces of Genesis
Its first SUV, the GV80, was officially unveiled on January 14, 2020. In April 2021, it produced the first electric vehicle, the Electrified G80. At Auto Shanghai, Genesis showcased three new vehicles: the Electrified G80, the Genesis X Concept, and the EV-based Gran Turismo concept. In the U.S., its vehicles are sold through a portion of existing dealers. Space was designated for the corporation in dealer showrooms. In May 2021, it hit the European market with the G70 Shooting Brake. Later, it unveils the first images of the GV60. It was the new EV SUV's latest model.
