About Dodge Ram 2500
The Dodge Ram 2500 is a pickup manufactured by Stellantis North America and is classified as a full-size pickup. It is a part of the Ram pickup series and has lasted for three generations. In 2010, the model was renamed in the removal of the Dodge brand. Actually, it is the second generation of the whole series and ended up in the fourth. The whole series was a great success, including a considerable sale volume and 8 times nomination of Motor Trend magazine's Truck of the Year, in which the Dodge Ram 2500 version won three times respectively in 1994, 2003, and 2010.
The first Dodge Ram 2500 was debuted in 1993 after a seven-year development since 1983. The truck was a total refresh including a more user-friendly cabin and a big rig facade forms parts of its aggressive styling. The sale of the vehicle could be called a blast, with 232,092 units sold in 1994, 410,000 in 1995, and 411,000 in 1996. Its appearance in the popular film "Twister" also contributed to the good selling. The engines offered included the 3.9 L V6, 5.2 L V8, 5.9 L V8, and 5.9 L I6 Cummins turbo diesel, as well as an additional new 8.0 L V10 type. For Dodge Ram 2500, it was only offered long beds with regular cabs or the optional beds on extended cabs, and its light-duty version was not available in diesel or V10 engines. The model received an update in 1998.

The next generation of Dodge Ram 2500 started in 2003, after 1500 in 2002. The frame, suspension, interiors, powertrains, and sheet metal were all redesigned and the crew cab model was from Quad Cab trucks with conventional-opening rear doors. The live axles were retained and thus its rack and pinion steering appeared to be "class-exclusive". The sale of this version still performed in excellence, with about 400,000 units sold during 2001–2002 and about 450,000 during 2002–2003. The facelift came in 2006, bringing about an optional Bluetooth U Connect, the SIRIUS Satellite Radio, and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system supporting wireless headphones. Taillights were changed for the 2007 model year.
The last generation of Dodge Ram 2500 was put into production in 2009 but was separated from Dodge soon in 2010. The new version was again redesigned by applying the Crew Cab model available for more room, a revised suspension tuning, and updated styling. This model was praised for its powerful engine, roomy and powerful cabin, better space for rear passengers, and good performance on highways, but was also criticized for its fussy audio system control.
