The Chrysler Grand Voyager is a bigger version of the Chrysler Voyager with a longer wheelbase. The 3 to 4-dorr minivan model is manufactured and marketed by the Stellantis division of Chrysler. Having its first debut in 1988, it was introduced as a rebadged version of the Dodge Caravan in the North American markets. For the Europeans, it was named the Lancia Voyager. It used a Chrysler S platform but borrowed techniques from a Chrysler K platform at the same time. Customers could choose a 2.5L KI4 engine or a 3.0L Mitsubishi 6G72 V6 engine together with a 5-speed manual or a 3 to 4-speed automatic transmission as the engine parts. Manual transmission was no longer available in the American market after 1995.
The Chrysler Grand Voyager is provided in two trim levels: a base model and an advanced SE model. A 2.4L 4-cylinder engine or a 3.0L Mitsubishi engine was available for both models. However, due to local emissions standards, the 3.0L engine was not feasible in some areas. Instead, a 3.3L EGA V6 engine was added to the option.
