About Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The Chevrolet Silverado is a range of full-size pickup trucks manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand. Introduced for the 1999 model year, the vehicle is the successor to the long-run C/K model line. Taking its name from the top trim of the C/K series, the Silverado is offered as a series of a full-size pickup, chassis cab, and medium-duty trucks. Its fourth generation was introduced for the 2019 model year. And Chevrolet Silverado was the light-duty model of the whole big series.
The first-generation Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was available in three cab lengths, 2-door standard/regular, 3 or 4-door extended, and front-hinged 4-door crew, accompanied by three cargo beds for choice. In the first year, only the regular cab and a 3-door extended cab version were on sale, equipped with the Vortec 4300 V6, Vortec 4800 V8, and the Vortec 5300 V8 engine. Later in 2000, a driver's side door option was offered for the extended cab, giving it four doors, and the crew-cab body was put into production in 2004. The output on the 5.3L engine was also lifted to 285 hp (213 kW) and 325 lb-ft (441 N·m).

The second-generation Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was based on the GMT900 platform and was released in 2007. The appearance was all-new from the tires to the roof and in the meantime fixed almost all the previous truck's faults. A large grille, wider and taller than the predecessors, a gold bow tie, and reflector-optics headlamps were installed, as well as the power dome hood lifted from the front end. The 1500 was equipped with a 4.3L V6 engine producing 195 horsepower, and 260 pound-feet of torque. Other trims were offered other engines including a 4.8L V8 and a 5.3L V8. A four-speed automatic transmission was standard with rear- or four-wheel drive.
The third-generation Chevrolet Silverado 1500 lasted from 2013 to 2018, including the options of three gas engines: 4.3L EcoTec3 V6, 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, and 6.2L EcoTec3 V8. Most models were available with the brand's MyLink touch-screen multimedia interface system. For the appearance, the vehicle was built on a fully boxed high-strength steel frame with hydroforming technology, and the truck cab's frame was built with high-strength steel, including a hood, the engine block, and control arms all using aluminum. 1500 officially went on sale in May 2013 and received a facelift in 2016 including a new grille, new headlights, and new front fascia.
The fourth-generation Silverado 1500 was unveiled in December 2017 and went on display in 2019, shown in the form of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss. The formal release was at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan on January 13, 2018, which was exactly 100 years after the first truck delivery by the brand. It featured a more sculpted exterior design and was equipped with V6 or V8 engines ranging from 4.3L to 6.2L. Eight different trims were offered for this model.
