About Chevrolet Lumina
The Chevrolet Lumina is a mid-size or full-size vehicle manufactured by the American automaker General Motors under the Chevrolet brand from 1989 to 2013. It has lasted for five generations, in which the first two generations were sold nearly exclusively in North America, and its successive versions were sold in other markets worldwide. Initially, it was provided with four types of engines, including two I4 and two V6, ranging from 2.2L to 3.4L. The I4 was abandoned in the second generation, but the types of V6 were increased to four, ranging from 3.1L to 3.8L. Higher levels of the third and the fourth-generation model were equipped with a V8 engine, and the Philippine version from 2005 to 2006 was given a 2.5 L LB8 V6.
As for the transmissions, a wide range of transmissions has been given to the Chevrolet Lumina, including a 4-speed automatic, 5-speed manual, and a 3-speed automatic for the first generation, and two 4-speed automatic transmissions for the second. The third and the fourth generation Chevy were based on the GM V and the GM Zeta platform, depending on different model years. For the Philippine version, the platform was shifted to W-body 2nd Gen and was assembled in Shanghai, China. The basic Chevy parts are offered in our online shop. The first-generation Chevrolet Lumina featured as a 2-door notchback coupe or a 4-door notchback sedan using an FF layout. The platform was W-body and was assembled in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. For the parts, the car was not available with airbags at that time, and the seat belts were installed in the front doors. The size of the wheelbase was 107.5in. From 1995 to 2001, the airbags were added, along with the other options including an electric sunroof, leather bucket seats, power windows, etc, and the wheelbase remained unchanged. Three trim levels were available for this period. The model from 1998 to 2013 was a 4-door sedan with a rear-wheel drive. It was mainly exported to the Middle East and South Africa. In the Philippines, the body of the car was installed with leather seats, faux wood trim, a rear armrest, an electronic climate control system, and a six-speaker CD system. Three colors were available.
