About BMW X4
The BMW X4 is a luxury compact crossover SUV produced by BMW since 2014. The first generation of the BMW X4 was unveiled at the 2014 New York International Auto Show, followed by the 13th Beijing International Auto Show and the 22nd Leipzig International Auto Show in 2014. The models are available in standard, xLine, and M Sport variants. All cars feature BMW EfficientDynamics. It includes engine cut-off and regenerative braking. Also available are 40:20:40 split rear seats and models with 19-inch alloy wheels, a sports exhaust, and stiffer suspension.
All models are only available with four-wheel drive and meet the Euro 6 emissions standard. The second-generation model was launched online in February 2018 as the successor to the F26 X4. It went on sale in July 2018. The chassis and key design elements are the same as those of the third-generation BMW X3. In North America, the 2019 BMW X4 will go on sale in the second quarter of 2018 to early 2019. Standard features include bi-LED headlights, automatic tailgate, 40:20:40 split rear seats, and iDrive 6.0. The models are available in xLine, M Sport, and M Sport X versions. The xLine models come with body cladding, 19-inch wheels, and sports seats.

M Sport X models have the same features, anthracite upholstery, and a matte grey exterior. The M40i and M40d models also feature the M Sport rear differential, a unique electromechanical clutch. The differential mimics the function of a conventional limited-slip differential. When the BMW sports car is given a "sports coupe" design, the suspension is raised. It becomes a standard SUV with all-wheel drive, and the BMW X4 concepts emerge. In 2015 the X4 will be available, positioned between the X3 compact SUV and the X5 mid-size SUV, but with a roofline typical of the X6 mid-size model. The BMW X4 is a true niche model, available with either a 28cc twin-turbo four-cylinder engine or a six-cylinder M40 twin-turbo engine. It should be noted that the BMW X4 M40i is not a full-fledged BMW M Performance model, leaving room for such an option in the future.
The BMW X4 comes with a 240-hp, twin-turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four, offering decent performance, though with more emphasis on cornering than straight-line acceleration. For that, the BMW X4 offers 355 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque, good for an eye-watering 4.4-second 0-60 mph time. Either engine comes with an eight-speed automatic, transferring power to all four wheels via BMW's xDrive system. The M40i also comes with a firmed-up suspension that helps it go, turn, and stop more like a sports car than an SUV. Along with that, there's the downside of a bruising ride.
