About BMW M3
The BMW M3 is a high-performance mid-size car produced and marketed by German automaker BMW began in 1986 and has lasted for six generations till the present. It was one of the best-selling models among all BMW productions, and the latest version has just released in 2021. The vehicle is a rear- or all-wheel drive and is powered by a front-engine. Each generation of BMW M3 has a code and the latest is coded as G80.
The first-generation BMW M3 went on sale in 1986 and was equipped with a 2.3L or 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. Its transmission was a 5-speed automatic. A stronger M3 Evolution model was released in 1988 and was later followed by a more powerful version called Super Evolution (or EVO3), and was equipped with a 2.5L inline four-cylinder engine featuring an enlarged front bumper opening and adjustable multi-position front splitter and rear wing. The engine produced 238 hp but was produced only a limited 600 units.

The BMW M3 model of the E36 3 Series was released in November 1992, initially as a two-door only, but later a convertible version was added in 1994. A four-door version was also added to choice in December 1994. In September 1995, a facelift with two-door panels was introduced. Changes included an increase in engine displacement to 3.2 liters and an upgrade from a 5-speed to a 6-speed manual transmission. the four-door version was revised in November 1995 and the convertible version in February 1996. The 1996 M3 coupe had an overall mass of 1,515 kg to European specifications.
The third-generation BMW M3 was released in 2001 and was equipped with a 3.2L six-cylinder engine. In 2004, the brand launched the lightweight-oriented BMW M3 CSL model, which made extensive use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), aluminum, and other light metals from aerospace materials, reducing the weight to 1,385 kg and delivering 360 horsepower. The fourth generation BMW M3 began to be marketed in 2007. The new BMW M3 used a newly developed 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine (code name S65B40) with 420 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission at the beginning of production, followed by a 7-speed Getrag dual-clutch transmission.
