About BMW L7

The BMW L7 belongs to the BMW E38, the third generation of the 7series. The series is a full-size luxury sedan manufactured by the German automaker BMW. The series featured parts like curtain airbags, satellite navigation, and an in-built television. It was a four-door sedan with rear-wheel drive. The production of the E38 lasted eight years from 1994. The automobiles were provided with three wheelbase lengths-short (2930 mm, 115.4 in), long (3070mm, 120.9 in), and Limousine. The buyers could also choose either petrol or turbodiesel engines.

The SWB version is called i and the LWH iL. The BMW L7 was added to the range in 1997 and was only available in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The L7 was not a wholesale model and had altogether 899 examples. It was a stretched-out version with a wheelbase length of 130. 7inches (250mm) – 9.8 inches longer than the long-wheelbase one. The overall length was thus 211.4 inches, 9.7 in longer than the iL model, and 15.7 in longer than the i model. Under the hood, the L7 was powered by a 5.4-liter V12 engine.
