About BMW 645Ci
BMW produced the second generation, often called the E63, between 2003 and 2010. The M6 was introduced in 2005 as a coupe and convertible. It is powered by the S85 V10 engine, which it shares with the E60 M5. A 7-speed automatic transmission is available for most M6 models. The BMW 645Ci is a large two-seat coupe with seating for four adults in a luxurious and spacious interior equipped with the latest technology. Optional and standard equipment includes active stability control, power steering, xenon headlights with left and right-hand indicators and an iDrive computer console with the dashboard. A convertible version of the BMW 645Ci is already in development and will be available at U.S. dealerships in March. A new version is in development.
The BMW 645Ci Coupé has a carbon-fibre roof to reduce weight and lower the car's centre of gravity. Optional features include sports seats, enlarged front and rear brakes, an M instrument panel, a carbon fibre roof and an optional M display. The BMW 645Ci also has four exhaust pipes and larger, more aerodynamic air intakes. A total of 9,087 coupés and 5,065 convertibles were produced, making a total of 14,152 units. A 4.4-litre DOHC V8 engine provides 325 hp with 32 valves. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed ZF G manual transmission, a 26-speed ZF 6PS automatic transmission or a six-speed BMW manual transmission. It is a six-speed automatic transmission with no clutch pedal and gearstick.

The suspension is typical of the 5 Series. It is based on two thin aluminium control arms on the front axle and one-piece aluminium lower control arms on the rear axle. It was supported by a pair of sidebars on each side. All mounted on an aluminium crossbar. BMW prefers steel springs; air springs, adjustable dampers and other electric suspension components are for others. Optional front and rear hydraulic dampers, adjustable on the BMW 645Ci, help keep the body upright in corners. When travelling at breakneck speed on the winding roads of Andalusia, the BMW 645Ci is stable and reliable, taking fast corners, climbing hills smoothly and going straight with the roar of the powerful V8 engine. It travels at triple-digit speeds on the motorway, with a suspension that absorbs shocks so well that the body remains almost motionless. The driver has to point to the BMW 645Ci, and there it is.
