About BMW 533i
The BMW 533i is only sold in Japan and North America. The line-up consisted of the 528e, 533i (1983-1984), 535i (1985-1988), etc. The debut of 533i followed the 528e. A 3-speed automatic transmission (a 4-speed automatic was available in Europe at the time) was made an option and a 4-speed automatic became optional in 1983. Starting in 1985, all models in North America came standard with ABS brakes. A catalytic converter was offered in the 533i and 535i in the United States.
From 1982 to 1984, the 553i is powered by engine parts of 3.2 L M30 straight-6 which could produce 135 kW (184 PS) at 6000 rpm and a torque of 265 N·m (195 lb-ft) at 4000 rpm. It is the highest specification model during its production years. It was then replaced by the 535i.
