About BMW 530i
The BMW 530i is one of the models in the course of the E34 generation, in which other models are also included such as the 525i Touring, 530i Touring, 540i, etc. They were sold in the United States. Its production began in January 1988, for March 1988 market launch. The 3.6 L (220 cu in) version of the M5 ended its production in 1993 when the 3.8 L (232 cu in) version was being produced for other countries.
The E34 530i was available in two versions, a straight-six model produced from 1988 to 1990, and a V8 model produced from 1993 to 1995. The earlier model was one of the last applications of the M30 inline six-cylinder engine parts. The V8 version replaced the six-cylinder 535i and was powered by the new BMW M60 V8 engine, available with either a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. Initially, the models were distinguished from the others by wide grill parts. In 1994, a wide grille became available for the other models. A total of 57,570 cars were produced in both versions of the 530i.
