About BMW 328d
After three model years, a diesel engine has returned to the BMW 3 Series for 2014. The break coincided with the rollout of a new generation of 3 Series cars, that is the sedan and wagon. New versions of the coupe and convertible have also debuted, now under a new 4 Series umbrella.
The 2014 328d does a great job of delivering excellent fuel economy and driving experience. The sedan and Sport Wagon body styles of the 3 Series in the 2016 BMW 328d gained new features, including available LED headlights. The new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 248 horsepower of 328d replaces an engine of the same size that made 240 hp. The 2017 328d is now designated 330i instead of 328i. Wireless smartphone charging and a Wi-Fi hot spot are new options, and the M Sport package is now standard on the 340i. As diesel goes, the 328d's is pleasant enough, the steel-cut rattling of its four jugs noticeable in the cabin. The immediacy of peak torque reaching 1750 rpm and staying through to 2750 rpm ensures that the 328d never slows down. The 60-mph benchmark of the 328d passes in 6.8 seconds.

It's clear that BMW takes the front cabin's comfort and design into consideration. There's ample doorway head clearance front and rear for getting in and out. Its door grabs and handles are well placed and easy to use. The front seating is roomy, although the rear seat is best suited for two. The trunk is sizable, and the lid hinges are shrouded in case of crushed cargo when the lid comes down. The rear seatbacks are split 40/20/40, and they fold and lie flat when down. Storage space for small items in the cabin is decent. For family duty, the 3 Series does a respectable job. The Isofix anchors for securing child safety seats are easily accessible under flip-up lids. There's also enough space to fit a rear-facing car seat behind the drivers.
For the 2022 BMW Series, a digital instrument panel is standard for all models with minor equipment, option, and package changes. And part of the seventh 3 Series generation is introduced for 2019. Although the latest-generation BMW 3 Series is a solid luxury sports sedan, some rivals offer more impressive design and technology. So, there is still a long way for BMW to go.
