The new 230i is 4.3 inches longer than its predecessor. The wheelbase is 2.0 inches longer and 2.6 inches wider. Because of this, the new 230i is also about 150 pounds heavier. 230i is no longer equipped with a manual transmission. Instead, there is an eight-speed automatic transmission with rear-wheel drive. 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 engine powers the car. It can deliver 248 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. This engine has more power and torque than the previous 230i. It is powerful at 1550 pm. The eight-speed automatic transmission is also powerful. It doesn't need to use the shift paddles, especially when the 230i is in Sport mode.
Owners can opt for the BMW M Sport package. It is worth about $21,000. This adds some trim pieces such as larger air intakes, slick window trim, and a few other highlights.
