The BMW 135i is one model among the BMW 1 series developed and manufactured by Geran Automaker BMW and is classified as a coupe or a convertible. The 135i began in the first generation of the series in 2007 coded as E82 or E88, depending on the body styles. The whole series accounted for nearly one-fifth of the total brand sales in 2008. It is an entry model of the type but was rated at the top.
The first BMW 135i was released in 2007 and started production in the same year. It was sold in coupe and convertible and is the only car in its class equipped with a rear-wheel drive and a longitudinal engine. Also, BMW 135i was available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, along with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a single-turbo 3.0-liter engine after 2010. For its good performance, the model was regarded as a perfect successor to the previous models. In most countries, the BMW 135i is also the top model in the series.
