About Audi A3
The Audi A3 is a subcompact executive car or a small family car manufactured and marketed by Audi AG since 1996. The latest model of the brand is in the fourth generation. The first two generations adopted a Volkswagen Group A platform for production while the latter two switched to a Volkswagen Group MQB platform. The layout of the Audi A3 is a front-engine and front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive one. The vehicle is provided with 3 different body styles including a 3-door hatchback, a 5-door hatchback, and a 4-door sedan.
The introduction of the first generation of the Audi A3 marked the company's return to the production of smaller cars. The 3-door hatchback was the only available body type for the customers when it debuted. In 1999, the vehicle received more powerful engine parts for better performance and quality. A 1.8L turbo engine that produced 178 horsepower and a 1.9L TDI diesel engine that was given the power parts' choices. In 2005, the S line trim level provided more styling parts and accessories to the model. The 3-door A3 cars received the same front-end styling features as the Sportback model had. The Audi A3 was also able to be marketed to the North American market exclusively with the Sportback body for the first time.
The latest generation of the Audi A3 was released in 2020. It was claimed that the inspiration for the restyling of the accessories and designs was from Lamborghini. It had LED headlights and taillights and one could also choose from Matrix and Laser LED headlights. The new sedan model was given a front fascia that is similar to the Sportback's. It was built 4 cm longer, 2 cm wider, and also 1 cm higher than its predecessor. The wheelbase remained the same.
