About Acura TSX
The Acura TSX is a compact executive car from 2003 to 2014, and Acura was its division. The vehicle has developed in two generations, both derived from the corresponding Japanese and European counterparts of the same brand. It serves as the successor of Integra, the predecessor of TLX, the entry-level ILX, and the station wagon RDX. It was sold in North America, filling the gap in Acura's 4-door, entry-level sedan. From the 2007 model year to 2013, the TSX was the smallest vehicle among all Acuras. The discontinuation took place in 2014.
The first-generation Acura TSX was introduced at the 2003 North American International Auto Show and production began in April of the same year. This version was equipped with a 2.4L inline four-cylinder K24A2 engine producing 200 horsepower, accompanied by a 6-speed manual transmission and a front-wheel-drive layout. In addition, the 5-speed automatic transmission was offered as an option in the US. The TSX received an update in 2006, including the improvement of the engine and a sportier appearance. The car was also slightly updated respectively in 2007 and 2008.

The second-generation Acura TSX was launched at the New York International Auto Show on March 20, 2008, and went on sale on April 24. Compared to the previous model, the new Acura TSX was a redesign and was larger, wider, longer, and heavier. The transmission generally remains unchanged except the automatic version received a slight change of a steering-wheel paddle shifter for manual operation. For the US market, the brand supplied a "Sports Wagon" body style in 2010 as a 2011 model, equipped with an I4 engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission.
In 2012, a new special edition of Acura TSX was introduced for commemorating the company's 25th anniversary. The vehicle was also equipped with a 6-speed manual or a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission but had a more aggressive front spoiler, rear bumper fascia, and side sills. The "Special Edition" badge was engraved on the trunk lid, showing its distinctiveness. The red stitching and red-lighting in the interior were also a unique design compared to the normal TSX.
