About Acura TLX
The Acura TLX is an upscale sedan manufactured and marketed by the luxury division of Honda, Acura. Being positioned as the successor of the TL and TSX models, the vehicle shared one of their wheelbases but differed largely in body features and design. The assembly lines for the model were in Marysville, Ohio. The TLX debuted at the New York International Auto Show in 2014 after being designed and engineered in Acura's own Design Studio in Los Angeles. It is considered the flagship Acura sedan after RLX.
The first generation of the Acura TLX had the engine parts which included a 2.4L 4-cylinder DOHC i-VTEC engine with 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Together with the all-wheel steering, the combination of the parts was able to provide 206 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque. The newly developed dual-clutch transmission was the first to adopt a torque converter. The converter could absorb the transmission gear shift shocks that were produced during the drive, deducing the noise, the vibration, and the harshness. This allows the TLX to provide passengers with a more comfortable and quieter ride.

The front-wheel-drive for the model had a UB1 coded chassis. A 3.5L SOHC VTEC V6 with a 9-speed automatic transmission was also available for TLX parts if needed. It came with either a precision all-wheel steer or an all-wheel drive. The 3.5L engine was able to offer 290 horsepower with 267 lb-ft of torque. The front-wheel-drive model's chassis was coded as UB2 and the all-wheel-drive one was UB3. Some years later, the code UB4 was given to the chassis that produced an extended-wheelbase version of the TLX models.
The TLX got significant LED headlamps and rear LED brake lamps from other Acura models. It also inherited the amber LED turn signal indicators on both side mirrors. The model received a facelift in 2017. A new A-Spec performance trim was added. This brought new TLX parts like new fenders, grilles, front fascia, and restyled wheels to the model. An optional camera that could turn at any angle was added. For the interior, the power driver's seat had thigh extension for more comfortable rides.
