About Acura NSX
The Acura NSX is the North American name for the Honda NSX model. Produced and marketed by Honda in 1990, the 2-seat coupe sports car was designed by Masahito Nakano as First Designer, and Shigeru Uehara as First Engineer. The name of the Acura NSX stood for "New", "Sportscar", and "eXperimental". The designer team claimed that the inspiration for the design parts were from the F-16 fighter jet cockpit for its aerodynamics and styling. The model started its development by installing a V6 to the powering parts with the intention to meet or exceed the performance of the V8 Ferrari at a lower price and offer better stability.
The first generation of the Acura NSX debuted at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show. As to meet the experimental meaning in its name, the model's body structure parts were made of aluminum, including the engine parts and the suspension. The all-aluminum engine was a 3.0L V6. It was paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control system, which was developed by Honda in the 1980s, was installed on the engine. In 1994, an optional SportShift 4-speed automatic transmission was also available for the Acura NSX engine parts. The performance upgrade in 1997 brought the model with a larger 3.2L V6. Three years before the discontinuation in 2005, the taillights were removed from the vehicle, and it could be bought as a Targo top in 1995.

The second generation of the NSX was planned for almost 10 years. After the shutdown in production and marketing, the NSX was first planned to return in 2007. However, it was claimed that the company was in poor economic conditions at the plan was put off. The new generation of the sports car was finally released in 2016, 9 years later than planned. At the 2015 North American International Auto Show, the new definition of the same name was given. The NSX was defined as the "New Sports eXperience". The update of the generation also brought the assembly lines from Japan all the way to Marysville, Ohio. The Acura NSX parts for the powertrain were a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. There were no fewer than 4 motors for the power system of the vehicle. The new power provider and electric motor sent power to the rear wheels while the front wheels each enjoy an independent electric motor. In 2022, a new NSX Type S was released before shutting down the model. The NSX Type S could provide the customers with 600 horsepower, more than the 573 horsepower of its predecessor.
