The Acura ILX is a luxury car manufactured by the Japanese company, Honda. It belongs to the luxury division of Honda, Acura. Known as Honda ILX internationally, the Acura ILX is based on the 9th generation Civic Sedan. After its concept version's release in 2012, at the North American International Auto Show, the production version of the Acura ILX premiered in Chicago in the same year. Acura introduced the idea of design as "aero-fused dynamics." The mass production started in Indiana in April and the sales in the U.S began after one month.
The Acura ILX is a subcompact executive car and it adopts a brand-new design. Compared with its predecessor, the Civic, the Acura ILX and all its classic parts have undergone generational upgrades for better performance. At first, some features were only available in the Premium and Technology option. Both packages come with a multi-view rear backup camera with regular, wide-angle, and top-down modes, leather upholstery, 17-inch alloy wheels, a navigation system, premium audio parts with SiriusXM satellite radio, and high-intensity discharge headlights. The ILX was upgraded for the 2014 model year and included a standard leather interior, heated front seats, a triangle backup camera, and audio subwoofer parts with Active Noise Cancellation. The updated ILX made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2014, and it entered the market in February 2015.
